Privacy Policy
Last updated: 19 June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Felipe do Amaral Mesquita (ABN 64 517 259 535), trading as Fivy ("Fivy", "we", "us" or "our"), handles your personal information when you use our website and the Fivy service (the "Service"). We are based in New South Wales, Australia, and we handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
By using the Service, you agree to the handling of your information as described here. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
Who we are
Fivy is a reputation-management tool for local businesses. It brings your Google reviews into one place, drafts suggested replies with AI, and shows you insights about your reviews. It is operated by Felipe do Amaral Mesquita as a sole trader.
Information we collect
We collect the following kinds of information:
- Account information — your name and email address, provided when you sign up (including via Google sign-in through our authentication provider, Clerk).
- Business information — the business and location you connect (for example your business name and your Google Business Profile / Place), so we can fetch your reviews and tailor the Service.
- Google reviews — publicly available reviews of your business (review text, rating, reviewer display name, dates and links), retrieved on your behalf. This is information members of the public have already posted publicly on Google.
- Payment information — if you subscribe to a paid plan, your payment is processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card details; we receive limited billing information (such as your subscription status) from Stripe.
- Usage and device information — when you visit our website or use the Service we collect analytics data such as pages viewed, referring source, approximate location, device and browser type, and interactions, including via cookies and similar technologies (see Cookies & analytics below).
- Support communications — if you contact us (e.g. via our contact form or email), we keep your message and contact details so we can respond.
How we use your information
- To provide and operate the Service — aggregating your reviews, generating suggested replies, and producing insights and reports.
- To create and manage your account and authenticate you.
- To process payments and manage subscriptions.
- To send you service-related and (where you haven't opted out) summary emails such as review digests and weekly reports.
- To respond to your enquiries and provide support.
- To understand how the Service is used, improve it, and keep it secure and reliable.
- To comply with our legal obligations.
AI processing
To generate suggested replies and insights, the text of your reviews and your business settings (such as your chosen tone) are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, for processing. Suggested replies are drafts for you to review — nothing is published on your behalf, and you choose what (if anything) to post.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers we rely on to run Fivy, and only as needed for them to perform their function:
- Clerk — account authentication and sign-in.
- Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing.
- Anthropic — AI generation of suggested replies and reports.
- Outscraper and Google — retrieving your publicly available Google reviews and business details.
- PostHog and Google Analytics — product and website analytics.
- Sentry — error monitoring to keep the Service stable.
- Resend — sending our emails.
- Cloudflare — website hosting, content delivery and security.
We may also disclose information where required or authorised by law, or to protect our rights, users or the public.
Overseas disclosure
Some of the providers above are located outside Australia (for example in the United States). This means your personal information may be stored or processed overseas. We take reasonable steps to ensure these providers handle your information appropriately, but their handling may also be subject to the laws of the country in which they operate.
Cookies & analytics
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies, including Google Analytics and PostHog, to understand traffic and how the site and Service are used. These help us measure where visitors come from and improve the product. You can control or block cookies through your browser settings; doing so may affect some functionality. We do not use this data to sell your information.
How we store and protect your information
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access, including access controls and encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
Retention and deletion
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You can delete your account at any time; when you do, your associated business and review data is permanently removed (we use hard deletes). We may retain limited information where required for legal, tax or accounting purposes — for example, payment records held by Stripe for financial compliance.
Your rights
Under the Australian Privacy Principles, you may:
- request access to the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or out of date;
- delete your account and associated data; and
- make a complaint about how we have handled your information.
To exercise any of these, email us at [email protected]. We'll respond within a reasonable time. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
Children
Fivy is intended for business owners and is not directed at children. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll change the "Last updated" date above, and significant changes will be communicated where appropriate. Continuing to use the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
